Bhuvneshwar Kumar, a bowler for India, didn’t worry about winning or losing when he had to defend 12 runs against Rajasthan Royals. He just focused on doing his job. Despite the tough situation, his team, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), won by one run.
Facing Rovman Powell in the last over was tough, especially with an extra fielder due to slow play. But Bhuvneshwar bowled well, making it hard for Powell to score. Powell missed the ball and got out.
Bhuvneshwar wasn’t thinking about the extra fielder or the rules. He was just focused on his job.
Earlier, Bhuvneshwar took early wickets with the new ball, putting Rajasthan Royals in trouble. He enjoyed swinging the ball, something he’s good at. His early wickets helped his team.
Riyan Parag from Rajasthan Royals disagreed that some of their batters, including himself, threw away their wickets. He said they were trying their best but made mistakes. Parag and Yashasvi Jaiswal were batting well before they got out.
“We didn’t give away our wickets,” Parag said. “We were trying to play our shots.”
Parag praised SRH’s bowlers for their performance in the later overs. Rajasthan Royals struggled to score because of SRH’s good bowling.
“I thought we could win, but credit to their bowlers,” Parag said.
Parag has been in good form this season after a tough time last year. He’s happy that people are talking about him positively now. However, he’s focused on performing well for his team rather than thinking about national selection.
“I’m happy for my teammates who got selected,” Parag said. “I’m not thinking too much about the World Cup right now.”
