Gautam Gambhir’s Actions on KKR Bench Raise Many Questions

Gautam Gambhir, the former captain of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has played a significant role in the team’s success this season. KKR recently won against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), putting them in a good position to make it to the playoffs of the IPL 2024. They now have 16 points from 11 games and need just one more win to secure their playoff spot and must have to try it .

Last season, KKR didn’t perform well and ended up in the bottom half of the points table. However, this season has been different, especially under the leadership of captain Shreyas Iyer. A big reason behind this turnaround is the guidance provided by Gautam Gambhir, who is now serving as a mentor for KKR after spending two seasons with LSG.

Gambhir has been actively involved in providing tactical advice to the head coach and supporting the captain, Iyer, especially during tough situations. His experience and leadership qualities have been invaluable, especially considering Iyer’s recent loss of his BCCI central contract.

“Gambhir’s Mentorship Elevates KKR’s IPL 2024 Success”

Gambhir’s influence extends beyond just strategic advice. He has also played a role in the resurgence of star all-rounder Sunil Narine as a top-order batsman. During the recent match against LSG, Gambhir’s excitement was evident as he celebrated Nicholas Pooran’s dismissal and then quickly sent tactical assistance to Captain Iyer.

A video of Gambhir’s actions during the match has gone viral on social media, sparking discussions among fans about his impact on the team. Many wonder if Gambhir is the real driving force behind KKR’s success this season.

In summary, Gautam Gambhir’s return to KKR as a mentor has brought a positive change to the team’s performance this season. His tactical acumen and leadership have been instrumental in guiding KKR towards success in the IPL 2024.

With Gambhir coaching, KKR is doing well in IPL 2024. Narine and Phil Salt are opening and scoring lots of runs in the first part of the game. Narine has scored 461 runs and Salt has scored 429 runs in 11 matches. Only Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad have scored more runs than Narine. Narine has also taken 14 wickets. This is the first time since 2018 that Narine has scored more than 350 runs in an IPL season. In 2018, he scored 357 runs, but he hasn’t scored that many in the last five seasons. Salt, who wasn’t picked during the auctions, joined KKR as a replacement for Jason Roy.
