As RCB and CSK face each other in Bengaluru on Saturday, it might be the last time fans see two Indian cricket legends, MS Dhoni and Virat Kohli, compete in the IPL. RCB and CSK are battling for a spot in the IPL 2024 playoffs. CSK is in fourth place with 14 points from 13 matches, while RCB is seventh with 12 points from the same number of games.
Before their match, Kohli hinted that this could be Dhoni’s final IPL game. He mentioned their partnership for India and Dhoni’s remarkable record of finishing matches.
Dhoni’s IPL future has been uncertain due to injuries, but he continues to impress fans. He led CSK to victory last year. After CSK’s final home game, Dhoni and his teammates thanked the fans, possibly for the last time at their home ground this season.
However, if CSK makes it to the playoffs, Dhoni and his team will have the chance to play two more matches. On the other hand, RCB has made a remarkable comeback with five consecutive wins after a six-game losing streak, thanks in large part to Kohli’s outstanding performance. He is the highest scorer in the 2024 IPL with 661 runs from 13 matches.
