A report before the India team announcement says
India team announcement says that KL Rahul might not be chosen for the T20 World Cup squad. Many experienced cricketers and experts have been discussing who will be the second wicketkeeper. Rishabh Pant is the first choice because he’s been performing well in the IPL. But for the backup position, it’s a competition between Sanju Samson and KL Rahul. However, a new report suggests that KL Rahul might not secure the backup spot, as the selectors are considering two other players for that position.
When the IPL began last month, there were six wicketkeepers vying for two spots in the 15-player India squad. Jitesh Sharma was leading for one spot because of his good performance in the T20I series after the ODI World Cup in November.
However, everyone was eagerly waiting for Pant’s return. He had been recovering from a serious car accident for 15 months. Other players in contention were Jurel, who performed well in the Test series against England, and Ishan Kishan, who played in Pant’s absence. But now, the team management seems to prefer Jitesh.
