4. Wayne Parnell destroyed the top order of the RR
Wayne Parnell played in the IPL after nine years, this time for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He played seven matches and took nine wickets with an economy rate of 9.38. In one match against Rajasthan Royals (RR), he got his best bowling figures in IPL history, taking 3 wickets for 10 runs, helping RCB win by a huge margin of 112 runs.
In another match, RCB defended a score of 171, with Parnell playing a big role. He bowled well and took important wickets. In the first over, Mohammed Siraj got an early wicket, and Parnell followed up by dismissing two key players, Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson, for very few runs. Later, in his third over, he got Joe Root out for 10 runs. Parnell’s excellent bowling led to Royals being all out for just 59 runs, and he was named the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
3. Sandeep Sharma’s outstanding bowling effort against Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni
This year, Sandeep Sharma became an important player for Rajasthan Royals (RR) because of his great bowling skills. When Prasidh Krishna wasn’t available, Sandeep got the chance to strengthen RR’s fast bowling along with Trent Boult. Sandeep did well for Royals this year, taking 10 wickets in 12 matches, with an economy rate of 8.60.
In the 17th match of the tournament at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Sandeep used his experience against MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja. He defended seven runs off three balls in the last over of the game, which was a big moment for RR fans. It’s tough for any bowler to succeed against strong finishers like Dhoni and Jadeja, especially in front of CSK’s home crowd in Chepauk.
At first, Sandeep seemed nervous facing both CSK stars in front of the Chepauk crowd, but he kept his cool in the last three balls and helped his team win by three runs with his effective bowling.
2. Rinku Singh’s batting attacks against GT
Rinku Singh showed how good he is at batting for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). He played with a lot of energy and helped KKR win a few matches. Because of how well he’s played this season, KKR hopes he’ll keep being their best player for a long time.
At the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Rinku Singh played an amazing innings. In the last over of the game, he faced Yash Dayal and needed to score 28 runs to win for Kolkata.

1. Ravindra Jadeja’s last-over batting actions against Mohit Sharma the IPL Final
After a bad 2022 IPL season, Ravindra Jadeja showed again why he’s important for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). In the IPL 2023 final against Gujarat Titans (GT), he scored 15 runs off six balls, proving he’s good in important matches and still helpful to CSK because he’s good at both batting and bowling.
In the final match, Titans scored 214 runs in 20 overs, with Sai Sudharshan scoring 96 runs in 47 balls. Because of rain, the match was shorter, and CSK had to score 171 runs in 15 overs. CSK played well but in the last over, it seemed like they might lose, especially when Mohit Sharma bowled really well.
With only two balls left and 10 runs needed, Jadeja was batting. He hit a six on the fifth ball, but CSK still needed four runs to win. Mohit Sharma got nervous and bowled poorly on the last ball, which Jadeja hit for a four, winning the IPL trophy for CSK for the fifth time.
