The Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title in 2024, taking home a prize of Rs 20 crore. The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), who finished as runners-up, received Rs 12.5 crore. The total prize pool for IPL 2024 was Rs 46.5 crore, distributed among various teams and individual award winners.
Prize Money for Top Teams
Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) finished 3rd and 4th in the league. RR received Rs 7 crore, while RCB took home Rs 6.5 crore. These prizes reflect the competitive spirit and hard work of the teams throughout the season.
Individual Player Awards
Virat Kohli from RCB won the Orange Cap for scoring 741 runs, earning Rs 10 lakh. Harshal Patel from Punjab Kings claimed the Purple Cap with 24 wickets, also winning Rs 10 lakh. Sunil Narine from KKR was named the Most Valuable Player of the season, earning Rs 12 lakh and the Ultimate Fantasy Player of the Season award.
