Sri Lankan wicketkeeper Kumar Sangakkara follows at 9th with 31 awards in 404 matches played from 2000 to 2015. India’s Sourav Ganguly is at 8th, with 31 awards from 311 matches between 1990 and 2007.
At 7th is West Indies’ great Viv Richards, who won 31 awards in 187 matches from 1975 to 1999. Pakistan’s explosive all-rounder Shahid Afridi takes 6th place with 32 awards in 398 matches from 1996 to 2015. Australian captain Ricky Ponting, ranked 5th, also won 32 awards in 375 matches from 1995 to 2012.
In 4th place is South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis with 32 awards in 328 matches between 1996 and 2014. Indian superstar Virat Kohli ranks 3rd, with 41 awards in 295 matches from 2008 to 2024. Sri Lankan legend Sanath Jayasuriya holds 2nd place with 48 awards in 445 matches, while Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar tops the list with a record 62 awards in 463 matches.
