Top 5 Young Players in 2024 T20 Blast

Young Players in 2024 T20 Blast

Gloucestershire won their first T20 Blast title, defeating Somerset easily in the final. Despite having strong teams before, they had missed out on the title for 21 years. The semi-finals and final took place on September 14, with low-scoring matches due to a pitch favoring both fast bowlers and spinners.

The T20 Blast, starting in 2003, remains England’s top T20 competition, despite ‘The Hundred’ gaining popularity. This year’s tournament featured several standout young players.

Here are five top players from the 2024 T20 Blast.

5. Luke Hollman

Luke Hollman

The 24-year-old all-rounder was outstanding during the 2024 T20 Blast. Luke Hollman, known for his leg spin that often gets extra bounce, had an impressive performance in the 22nd edition of the tournament.

He took 23 wickets in 12 matches, with an average of 12.57. Hollman consistently outplayed most batters and kept their scoring low. He performed well on both dry pitches and those not ideal for spin bowlers.

Although Middlesex had a disappointing season, Hollman excelled and took wickets frequently. He had a standout moment with a five-wicket haul against Surrey early in the tournament and managed to take wickets in nearly every match. Hollman will be hoping this successful season leads to more opportunities.
